CHOQUEQUIRAO TREK
The geographic location is at the northeast of Cusco between Apurimac and Urubamba Rivers and the amazing Salkantay with a maximun altitude of 6271 m.o.s.l. 20 574 f.o.s.l.

Vilcabamba offers a great oportunity to walk between snow-covered mountains, green mountains, bears, condors, tarantulas, etc. This area was used as a refuge for the sixteenth Inka resistance movement of the XVI century, that tried to recover the control of the Tawantinsuyo from the Spanish invaders. The costumes and the typical clothing reflect the mixture of our culture. Its language and textiles, with Inka and Pre-Inka decoration, it gives a clear evidence of the quechua influence. Vilcabamba is another place where you can find many pre-colombian archaeological treasures, including Choquequirao and the famous citadel of Machu Picchu.

There is an Inka Trail network that connects Pampa de Vitcos, Rosas Pata and Espiritu Pampa.
