The Presidente Hotel, a
two storey low rise building with tiled
roofing painted in yellow and terracotta, is
tucked between the mountain and the roaring
Valcanota River. This offers splendid views
from the balconies and excellent sleeping at
night. The staff is helpful and friendly and
they keep the place immaculately clean. This
is not the ultimate in luxury or in price.
If you came all this way to enjoy a splendid
hotel this is not the place for you. If you
came to see Machu Picchu, enjoy the hot
springs and perhaps some of the night life
Aquas Calientes has to offer, this is a
great place to spend the night. Run by the
same owners as Hostel Continental and Hostel
Machu Picchu. The Presidente hotel is
recommended in Lonely Planet Guide where
they too mention that it is very clean, the
staff helpful, friendly and they add that it
is often full.
