Our company started to operate since 1975 with the name of Transval Tours, it was founded by Mr. Efrain Valle Escalante who died young and he stopped to operate the company which is why the company started to operate again in 1995 with the participation of appropriate professionals in the field of Tourist Management and we adopted a new name: Apacheta Trecks, the name comes from an Inka costume that means the storage of stones or rocks in the summits of the mountains where the Inka Trails are located, as a result of the offering that the walkers who was going to climb the mountain. Previously they pick up a rock or a stone, sometimes these ones weighted 22 pounds, people took them and then they throw them. This was a reverence act to Hirca or Huamani who lived there or the Mother Land as gratitude of arriving there with out any problem.

Our main office is located in Cusco, we have other offices in other important destinations in Peru such as: Arequipa, Lima, Puno, Huaraz, Nazca, Puerto Maldonado and Iquitos.
